A PhD scholarship is available at the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences to develop numerical models for predicting the responses of steel and composite structures under extreme loadings.The scholarship covers tuition fee and offers a stipend of $26,288 per annum up to three years.Eligibility: 1. Hold a Master degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a GPA not less than 802. Meet English requirements: Ielts=6.5 with each band greater than 6.0Candidates with experience in one of the following areas will have an advantagei. nonlinear analysis of steel and composite structuresii. computational methods such as FEM, X-FEM, IGAiii.
